Like many, at the start of every New Year I tend to pay more attention once again to the state of my health. When the calendar flips over into my birthday month it’s like I am given another opportunity to improve my life by applying the wisdom I’ve gained over the years. This could include adopting healthier eating habits, increasing the amount of exercise I get and finding ways to reduce stress.
Just because I prioritize my health this time of year doesn’t mean I don’t need a little help. (wink wink) I like to give myself a magical boost once in a while, so I came up with this easy spell for energetically detoxifying and cleansing with crystals. Why crystals? Because I have lots of experience working with them and their subtle energies. Why not use what you know, right?
For me, focusing on my mental and physical health starts with clearing the slate, so to speak. That means, getting rid of whatever negative stuff that no longer serves me. This could mean unhealthy eating habits, laziness, etc. So, to begin, one must cleanse and detoxify before setting out to start a new health and wellness regimen.
The following spell is meant to help you detox and cleanse the body and mind of unwanted energies. Think of it as a sort of banishing spell to improve your health and well-being.
Items (A full kit can be purchased here):
- Sage Soy Candle (cleansing energy)
- Bloodstone tumbled stones x 4 (detoxifying properties)
- Sardonyx tumbled stone x 4 (for will power and strength)
- Smokey Quartz natural pieces x 4 (transmutes negative energy)
- White Sage Bundle (purifying energy)
In a safe, secure place where your spell will not be disturbed by other humans, pets, or the elements, sit the Sage Soy Candle on a level surface. This will be the center of the spell.
Next, arrange the stones in a circle around the candle. You can choose to alternate each one so that they are all evenly dispersed around the candle. Allow your intuition to guide you.
Once your candle and circle of stones are in place, light the candle. Then, light the White Sage smudge stick and waft the smoke around the space. Allow yourself to relax as the smoke cleanses the area. Safely set the smudge bundle down on a heat safe plate or bowl.
Then, using a quartz wand (if you have it) or your finger, point directly at the stones and while energetically connecting them by “tracing” an invisible line above them around the circle, state the following:
- Say three times: I breathe in positivity and exhale negativity today and all days.
- Say three times: The healing power of {enter chosen deity name here, or simply ‘Source Energy’} flows through every cell of my being today and all days.
- The healing power of {deity of your choice, or ‘Source Energy’} is greater than {list any bad habit or condition you wish to get rid of}. Repeat this line beginning with the affirmation ‘The healing power of…in greater than…’ until you have exhausted all that you wish to cleanse energetically.
- Close the spell with ‘And so it is.’
Take some deep healing breaths while you give thanks for the healing energies.
Leave the stones in place for as long as your intuition guides you to do. Be sure to extinguish the candle when you leave the space.
You have now set the stage to make the changes that you desire. Why not start taking steps towards a healthier you today? Drink more water, go for a walk, or eat a healthy lunch, for example.
